An In-Person Update!
Monday, I had the opportunity to attend the National Research Conference on Early Childhood and, for the first time, meet many of the incredible University of Connecticut team members I've been collaborating with in person.
Early childhood isn't my primary area of expertise, but spending time with researchers, practitioners, and advocates in this space reminded me just how important this work is. There is still so much to learn, so much to improve, and so many opportunities to better support children and families.
As a mom, these conversations hit a little differently. I couldn't help but think about my own kids and the kind of systems, environments, and opportunities I want for them as they grow.
I left inspired by the passion, dedication, and innovative thinking of the people doing this work every day. Early childhood deserves our attention, our investment, and our best ideas. I'm grateful to have had the chance to learn from those leading the way.
